How can I get AWS Credentials, without using or having IAM User account?

-2

How can I get AWS Credentials (Access key, Security key, etc...) through the use of mwinit or ada?

For our use case, we do not want to use or have IAM User account, the authentication or getting the credentials should be done a different way.

I believe we do not have a SAML provider either.

Hello,

Greeting!

I understand that you would like to get AWS credentials without having an IAM user account.

Please note that IAM credentials are given for an IAM user or role. So in any case you need you need AWS/IAM credentials, it should be for a corresponding user or role.

If your use case is such that you dont want to initially login to a user/role to fetch a specific user/role credentials, you can use Roles Anywhere service[1].

However, if you want AWS credentials and these should not be of any IAM user/role, the questions comes in on whose or of what entity you require credentials for.

In summary, if you require AWS credentials, they should be for any existing IAM user/ IAM role. These credentials can further be used for successful authentication of the specific entity.
