Hi,

I would strongly suggests you to run this lab: https://catalog.us-east-1.prod.workshops.aws/workshops/976050cc-0606-4b23-b49f-ca7b8ac4b153/en-US/800/810-athena-quicksight

It will show you how to access Athena data from Quicksight, do computations and prepare dashboards on them. Then, you can apply to your specific use case.

Best,

Didier

Hey,

[1] Have you ensured QuickSight has the necessary permissions to access Athena and the Glue Data Catalog, including data sources and specific tables?

[2] Is the data source in QuickSight configured to use the same AWS region as your Athena tables and correctly pointing to the Glue Data Catalog?

[3] Are the tables in Athena unrestricted and accessible based on their policies?

  • Thank you for the reply.

Pardon me for the late reply.

    1. Yes I can confirm Quicksight has the necessary permissions for Athena and the Glue Data Catalog

    2. Yes, they are using the same region.

    3. I can query the tables from Athena successfully.
