Some workaround would suggest:
-
Use Private Devices You can enroll your own FireOS devices as private devices in Device Farm: • AWS provisions and manages them in their data centers • You get exclusive access for testing • Requires a subscription and setup process
-
Request Device Addition AWS allows customers to request specific devices not currently in the fleet: • Use the feedback form on the Device List page • Mention your use case and FireOS version
AWS Device Farm runs tests on physical mobile and tablet devices from various manufacturers, but the documentation doesn't specifically mention FireOS devices being available in the service.
When selecting devices for testing in AWS Device Farm, you have access to a variety of Android and iOS devices. The device selection is continuously updated based on market data and customer feedback. If you don't see Amazon devices (which would run FireOS) in the available device list when creating a test run, it suggests they may not be currently available in the standard device pool.
If testing on FireOS devices is critical for your needs, you have a couple of options:
- Check the interactive device list on the AWS Device Farm website for the most up-to-date information on available devices
- Contact AWS Device Farm team to request specific devices - they encourage customers to let them know if there's a device they'd like to see added to the fleet
- Consider setting up private devices through AWS Device Farm, which allows you to specify exact hardware and software configurations for your testing needs
Private devices are physical mobile devices that AWS Device Farm deploys exclusively for your AWS account in an Amazon data center, which could potentially include FireOS devices if arranged with the AWS Device Farm team.
