ACM: Error message: Additional Verification Required

1

I want to generate a public certificate, but I don't have a support plan to contact support directly. Help says I need to raise a new thread to move forward with verification - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/troubleshooting-failed.html#failed-additional-verification-required

How do I proceed from here?

Hi There,

I understand you want to generate a public certificate, but don't have a support plan to contact support directly. and you have observed that Help says you need to raise a new thread to move forward with verification.

This error could be one of two things

  1. As of March 10, 2022 ACM has restrictions to issue new certificates for ".ru" domains until further notice.
  2. When the certificate contains a domain that ranks within the Alexa top 1000 websites.[1]

I am afraid these 2 reasons require that you raise an issue with Cloud Support [2] Since the support team would need to white-list the domain and its subdomains. Which usually takes about an hour . then you can proceed to create a new ACM certificate for the domain, and you can delete the failed certificate request.

Please also check a way to import the certificate [3]
