Hi,

Based on https://aws.amazon.com/startups/faq#AWS%20Activate%20Credits, I would strongly discourage the direct reselling of plain AWS services (like EC2) paid to AWS via Activate Credits

Can I transfer or sell my AWS Activate credits?
No. AWS Activate credits cannot be transferred into another AWS account. You may not sell,
license, rent, or transfer AWS Activate credits. If you violate this policy, your AWS Activate credits
will be revoked. For more information, please refer to the AWS Activate Terms & Conditions.

AFAIK, It's fine to use them to run an application that you sell but not direct resell of plain AWS services

The best way is to open a ticket on AWS console and check with Support.

Best,

Didier

Hello.

I have read the terms and conditions below.
Resale of credits itself is prohibited, but no mention was found regarding services such as EC2.
I think it would be best to contact AWS Support just to be sure.
https://aws.amazon.com/agreement/?nc1=h_ls
https://aws.amazon.com/awscredits/?nc1=h_ls
https://aws.amazon.com/jp/activate/terms/

There are also programs that can help you resell AWS services.

Reselling services or resources obtained through AWS Activate Credits is typically not allowed as per AWS's policies. AWS Activate is a program designed to provide startups with the resources they need to get started on AWS, including credits, technical support, and training. The terms and conditions of the program are specifically tailored to support the growth and development of the startup itself, not for reselling purposes. Here's a general overview of the guidelines:

Intended Use of Credits:

AWS Activate Credits help startups scale their businesses and develop their products or services. These credits are usually meant for direct use by the startup in its operational processes, development, testing, and deployment of applications. Prohibition of Reselling:

AWS's terms generally prohibit the resale of services or resources obtained through their programs, including AWS Activate. You cannot sell AWS services, resources, or credit to another party. Compliance and Auditing:

AWS may monitor the usage of credits and services to ensure compliance with their terms. Misuse of credits, including reselling, can lead to penalties such as revocation of credits, suspension of AWS services, and potential legal action. Terms and Conditions:

It's essential to review the specific terms and conditions of the AWS Activate program you are enrolled in. These terms outline the permissible uses of credits and services and any restrictions. Consultation with AWS:

If you have a specific business model or use case that you believe might be an exception, consulting directly with AWS is advisable. They can provide guidance and clarify whether your intended use of the credits aligns with their policies.
