keyed in the pin code twice If you are typing the same pin twice you can expect the error you got. You need to key in two consecutive pins. Apart from this I see no reason for failure

I have rarely seen such a stupid set of instructions! It is obvious that the Google Authenticator only generates one code, if you divide it in the middle, you get an error, if you generate two different ones, you get an error. If you create another alternative code with the same QR code, it will not be received either! What a mental illness. If you're going to write instructions, write them in detail. So that you don't have to study nuclear physics to understand this crap!
Hi, when you're setting up the MFA, it should ask you for 2 different codes, I guess you're copying only the first code twice. Try to re-assigned the MFA, scan the code and wait for the 2 different codes to see if that works.
Cheers!
can confirm that this is very poorly explained by the system.
I use Microsoft authenticator, which displays codes like this:
626 442
with a space in the middle. Therefore, it's reasonable to assume that the 'two consecutive codes' are 626 and 442.
If you type this in, it will give a cryptic error, instead of saying something helpful like "you appear to have split one MFA code into two. An MFA code is two digits, we need two consecutive MFA codes, which means you will have to wait for the following one to generate, and provide both of them to us."

I agree w/ Syd, it seems you're copying the same code twice and not writing the second code.
thanks that worked!
