Failed to force stop instance

Hi all,

We are having an issue force-stopping an EC2 instance, i-069658c42b1f9d220 . Additionally, the root volume vol-063ddc34821cdb8a0 is stuck in attaching state for 230 (!!) days.

I assume the advice to Create a replacement instance would not work in our case because our volume is inaccessible.
Please advice on what to do.

This morning we could start the instance again. The volume was also out of attaching limbo
