Hi,
For putty specifically, please see this: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/putty.html To connect to Linux hosts in general: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/AccessingInstancesLinux.html
I recommend you read through this section entirely to better understand the steps and options: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/AccessingInstances.html For example, you can use Session Manager as an option to connect to your EC2 instance.
Session Manager is a fully managed AWS Systems Manager capability that lets you manage your Amazon EC2 instances through an interactive one-click browser-based shell or through the AWS CLI
Hope it helps,
Jon

Yes, the instructions work on Windows. The instructions should be easy to follow but you can search for a video on Youtube as well: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ec2+ssh+putty
