Vmotion DRS of Amazon 2023 running on Vmware

Hello,

The document https://docs.aws.amazon.com/linux/al2023/ug/vmware-supported-configurations.html says there are limitation in running Al23 on vmware in which VMotions/ DRS are not supported. We tried creating a AL23 from the latest OVA running on Vnware esxi version 7.3 with hw version 13 and was able to vmotion / DRS without any issues. Was there any release which has this fix ? Is the document specific for any version ? Please provide more details. thanks.

Currently, we are not listing it as supported primarily because it isn't something we are thoroughly testing. Since it's possible for both the hypervisor and guest to have issues that can result in odd behavior or crashes in the guest, we did not want to list something as supported without having a high testing bar.

From a technical point of view, more than likely, it works fine and it will continue to work fine. It is, however, not something we officially support.
