Route 53 - domain verification failure

0

Hi there,

I bought a domain through Route 53 and was trying to link the domain that I bought with WorkMail in AWS also because I would like to use the domain for my business.

All records were put in Route 53, and the NS is matching with the record too. However, the status is still pending so far.

Could anyone help with this issue?

My domain is luminous-edu.com

Kindly regards,

Shawn

Hi Shawn,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing problems with the verification of your domain. I checked your domain and indeed the NS records seem to be correct but I am unable to resolve any of the required domain records on your domain.

Can you double check that the domain records are correctly added in Route 53?

Kind regards,
Robin

Hi Robin,

Thank you for your reply.
I double-checked the TXT record and it is matching with the value in WorkMail.
I even put the alternative TXT record in Route 53, but it is still pending.

Even I wasn't sure If I needed to put the TXT record in my Lightsail, I put it in the Lightsail too.
I'm using the domain for the Lightsail too.

So far, I only put TXT records to verify the domain.
Can you kindly check again?

Hi Taesung Kim,

I can now resolve your TXT domain record and looking in our systems I can see that the domain is verified now.

When using LightSail you need to add the domain records in LightSail as this is the authority over the domain and not Route 53. To complete adding the domain to WorkMail you can add all required records in LightSail and you should be good to go.

I will check with the service team if we can update documentation for this.

Kind regards,
Robin

I am still having the same issue. AWS ROUTE 53 service is horrible! I put all the DNS information but for weeks now the domain cannot be verified. Our company will take our business somewhere else if the problem keeps persisting.
