Include git author in CodePipeline notification for Slack

It's great being able to receive a notification when CodePipeline has started/failed/succeeded and to know which pipeline within the notification. However, I would also like to see who made the commit that triggered the pipeline execution to start. Is this possible? Or do I need to make a feature request?

I think you should check which JSON event is passed to SNS. Like here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/codepipeline/latest/userguide/approvals-json-format.html. And then create a rule like here: https://github.com/stelligent/cloudformation_templates/blob/master/labs/codepipeline/codepipeline-notifications.yml
