When you purchase an RI instance, your two t3.medium instances will receive reduced costs during the term. If you only want to have an RI you can try opening a case with Customer Support for assistance with a refund.

In my case, I purchase the reserve instances twice. meaning, I have two reserve instances with the same configurations.
Does it mean my 2 ec2 instances will be charged twice because of two individual reserve instances purchased by mistake?
Hi, follow Tako's advice if you want to pay only for one instance: contact the Customer Support to cancel 1 of your reservations. Otherwise you will be charged for 2 reservations.
