Assistance with AWS Architecture for Private and Public EC2 Instances

0

Hello AWS Team,

I am a certified Ethical Hacker, and I need guidance on setting up an AWS architecture that meets the following requirements:

  • I will have one private EC2 instance where i have all my cybersecurity tools.
  • I will have another public EC2 instance, where I will deploy applications for social engineering projects. This instance will be configured with an Elastic IP occasionally and later linked to a domain.
  • In some cases, I will need to connect to my clients' networks using a site-to-site VPN from my private EC2 instance.

Could you please advise on the necessary AWS components to achieve this architecture efficiently?

Best regards,

Mauricio Díaz

Hello.

The minimum configuration that will meet your requirements should look something like the image below.
This is the minimum configuration, so availability etc. are not taken into consideration.
If you are concerned about availability etc., I recommend using two or more public EC2 instances and using NLB or ALB for load balancing.
It depends on the requirements of your cybersecurity tools, but it would be even better if you could load balance your private EC2 instances as well.
