Hello,

Thank you for using SageMaker Canvas. It's unfortunate to hear that you are encountering issue while uploading data local to SageMaker Canvas.

It would be helpful if we could have the error but before sharing the error message, I'd highly recommend to check if correct permissions has been setup for Studio domain. For reference, I'm sharing AWS document[1] for guidance. To grant users permissions to upload local files to the bucket, you can attach a CORS configuration to it using either of the following procedures. You can use the first method when setting up your Domain or editing the existing Domain settings, where you opt in to allow SageMaker to attach the CORS configuration to the default bucket for you. The second method is the manual method, where you can attach the CORS configuration to the bucket yourself.

If after setting up correct permission same issue persist then I'd recommend to reach out to AWS Support for further investigating the issue. To open a support case with AWS using the link: https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/home?#/case/create

Thank you for the answer. Unfortunately, it didn’t work and not sure what the actual issue is. Error says “Error uploading “file name” to S3”. Thanks

Try to Upload Files from Local computer to s3, and then import them into Canvas Dataset from S3.

I have the same problem, the DOMAIN and ALL settings (S3, Roles, IAM Policies) were created by the "Wizard in Sagemaker" to create a Simple Domain. Same error as reported, no details in Sagemaker Logs, Nothing Specific in CloudTrail. The S3 permissions + CORS + SageMakerExecutionRole looks correct based on the documentation.
