Unable to log in

If you're having trouble logging into AWS to access Amazon Q, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Verify your login credentials: Ensure you're using the correct username and password combination.

2. Clear your browser cache and cookies: This often resolves login issues.

3. Try a different web browser or use an incognito/private browsing window to rule out browser-specific problems.

4. If you're specifically trying to access Amazon Q Developer in an IDE like VSCode, note that IAM Identity Center is required for this integration. IAM users and IAM Identity Center users are different.

5. If you're an Amazon employee, check whether you're using the correct login method. You may need to determine if you're an IAM user or a root user by checking the username in the top right corner of the management console when logged in.

6. For Amazon Q access specifically, verify that you have an active subscription. If your administrator has provisioned access, it may take up to 24 hours for the subscription to activate if you were recently added to a group with Amazon Q access.

7. If you're using Amazon Q Business, ensure that identity-enhanced console sessions are enabled for organization instances of IAM Identity Center.

8. Check that you're in a supported AWS Region for Amazon Q Developer.

As an Amazon employee, you might need to contact your internal IT support or your AWS administrator to verify your access permissions and subscription status for Amazon Q.
