Forgot email, how to remove debit card from email?

0

A couple months ago I made an aws account for a group project and associated it with a newly created email. Currently I'm unsure if I have any servers running and I've forgotten what the email was. Is there any way to unlink my debit card from my account or potentially find out what the email address was? As I would like not to be potentially billed.

  1. Contact AWS Support: Since you're dealing with potentially sensitive billing information, your best course of action is to contact AWS Support directly. Explain your situation—that you've forgotten the email address used to create the account but need to ensure your debit card is no longer charged. Visit the AWS Support page and use the general contact form. You do not need to log in to contact AWS support. https://aws.amazon.com/contact-us/

Provide them with all the information you can, such as your debit card's last four digits, any possible email addresses it could be under, your full name, and any other details that were likely associated with the account.

  1. Check Your Bank Statements: Look at your bank statements for any charges from AWS. If you see charges, you could ask your bank to block further charges while you sort out the account details with AWS.

  2. Try Account Recovery Options: AWS might have options to help you recover your account using information other than your email address. Check the AWS login page for links related to forgotten emails or account recovery options.

AWS's support team should be able to guide you through the process of identifying your account and removing your debit card details securely. Remember, never share full debit card numbers or sensitive personal information over email or unsecured forms.
