unable to delete RDS database cluster due to insufficient storage capacity issue

when i tried to delete the instance, it showed an error to modify the database and disable delete protection, so i modified the instance by allocating more storage (due to insufficient storage capacity issue) and unchecked the delete protection , but still the database is not being deleted due to same insufficient storage capacity issue.

You should be able to delete it once the instance modification by allocating more storage and unchecked the delete protection is completed successfully.

    I already tried multiple times by allocating more storage and unchecking the delete protection, but still am getting same "insufficient storage capacity issue".

I could delete putting "delete me" instead of "delete".
