Converting SEsparce based VMware images to AMIs?

0

Hello,

Is anyone aware of how to convert SEsparce VMware images into AMIs? Doesn't look like it's supported in the VM Import/Export tool.

Hello,

I understand you are having some difficulties with the transferring your VM SEsparse images to EC2 AMI. We suggest to convert [2] your VM SEsparse images to a supported format before importing to EC2 AMI using VM Import/Export tool[1].

For your information: SEsparse is a type of disk format that can be used when creating VMDK images, but it is not a supported format by VM Import/Export tool.

Please contact if you have any further questions, and feel free to reach out to us via a support case to facilitate a discussion on the specifics of your resources.
