RDS UI missing Jakarta for read replica

0

I have an RDS in N. Virginia, and I want the read replica in Jakarta. I noticed the RDS UI does not list Jakarta as a possible destination.

Have you enabled the AWS Jakarta region ? Looks like, it needs to be enabled by following the steps in the link below - [1] As is the case with all of the newer AWS Regions, you need to explicitly enable this one in order to be able to create and manage resources within it.

Refer- Steps to follow to enable the new region- https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/now-open-aws-asia-pacific-hong-kong-region/ -- [1]

Cross-Region read replicas are available for all Regions and RDS DB engine versions for the following engines:

RDS for MariaDB

RDS for MySQL

RDS for PostgreSQL

Link- https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/Concepts.RDSFeaturesRegionsDBEngines.grids.html#Concepts.RDS_Fea_Regions_DB-eng.Feature.CrossRegionReadReplicas

What engine are you using ? Can you post your screenshot of the console ?
