Drastically increase data size after sync local data to s3 deep archive

Hello Everyone,

i sync 2.7 TB data to s3 DEEP ARCHIVE form my external HDD via aws cli.
but in my aws s3 bucket folder that same data show 4.8 TB of size.
Total objects in s3 sync folder : 212049

Please someone can help to understood this problem.

Hi,
Just a wild guess. Any chance your local hdd is storing files with compression enabled?

Thank you for your reply.
Finally got, problem in my files there are so many symbolic links that's why data size increased.
then find life saver --no-follow-symlinks option.
