In Glue what creates interactive sessions

I was working on the Glue console creating a job in the Visual Editor and then running the job. The next day I saw that I had been billed for interactive session usage and looking at the list of sessions on the console I did see a number of sessions listed.

What did I do to incur this interactive session use? On the console I see sessions listed for Saturday 4 May and I did nothing in the Glue console that day.

Just want to understand what happened so I don't incur this charge again.

Think it was caused by the Data Preview feature which is turned on by default.
