Performance : How does AWS Nitro System provide better performance for SAP workloads?
NOTE: This is a common question asked by AWS customers. The AWS team is posting it to provide an answer that can benefit everyone.
The Nitro system enables EC2 High Memory instances to operate as fully integrated EC2 instances, while presenting them as bare-metal servers. All the CPU and memory on the host are directly available for your SAP workloads without a hypervisor, allowing for maximum performance. With virtualization overheads removed, near-bare metal performance is achieved. Due to this, about ~5-15% more HANA working memory is available, improving overall performance of the SAP System.
