Why are you so difficult to work with...?

0

Months ago I made the mistake of trying to evaluate your product. Now, all I want is to cancel and get a refund for the $162.59 that I have been charged for services not rendered by AWS and cancel the account. You are terrible to deal with.

I apologize for the frustration you're experiencing. I understand your desire to cancel your account and obtain a refund. While I can't directly process refunds or account closures, I can provide some guidance:

  1. Unexpected charges can occur even if you're not actively using services, especially after the Free Tier period ends or if resources weren't properly terminated.

  2. To address your concerns:

    • Review your AWS Billing console to identify the specific charges.
    • Ensure all resources are fully terminated, not just stopped.
    • Contact AWS Support directly for assistance with refund requests and account closure.
  3. To close your account:

    • Sign in as the root user
    • Go to Account Settings
    • Scroll to "Close Account" section
    • Follow the prompts carefully
  4. Note that closing your account doesn't automatically cancel charges or delete resources. You'll need to address any outstanding balance.

  5. If you're having trouble contacting support, try creating an "Account and Billing" support case, which is available to all customers regardless of service usage.

I apologize again for the difficulties you've encountered. While AWS aims to provide value to customers, I understand it hasn't met your expectations. Contacting AWS Support directly is the best way to address your specific situation and pursue a refund.
