Hope your question is in context of IOT Core .Per last update ,AWS IoT Core currently does not support MQTT 5 Subscription Identifiers.
The documentation details that AWS IoT Core supports MQTT versions 3.1.1 and 5.0, but with some limitations https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot/latest/developerguide/mqtt.html. There's no mention of Subscription Identifiers being available in the MQTT 5 implementation.
Contact AWS Support: If you have a critical need for Subscription Identifiers, consider contacting AWS Support to inquire about their roadmap and any potential workarounds.
Could we get an ETA/update for this feature please!
This missing MQTT 5 feature is also not mentioned here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot/latest/developerguide/mqtt.html#mqtt-differences
I implemented the code, then found out from the broker that it's not supported :( The best clue is in the CONNACK (Subscription Identifier Available) flag.
