Data grant created but not received

0

I've created a data grant following a standard procedure (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/data-exchange/latest/userguide/creating-a-new-data-grant.html). Everything looks good on my console, with the data grant state showing as Completed. However, and when I log in on the external account to which the grant has been granted, there is no trace of it: nothing on the 'received data grants' tray and no message either (not sure if the system is supposed to generate one). Thanks.

Data grants seem to be region dependent so the regions in both accounts need to match up.

Hi, Permissions: Ensure that the recipient account has the necessary permissions to receive data grants. Double-check the IAM policies associated with the recipient account to ensure they have permissions for AWS Data Exchange actions.

Confirmation:

Verify that the grant was indeed sent to the correct AWS account ID or email address. It's possible that the grant was sent to an incorrect recipient account.

Notification Settings:

AWS Data Exchange doesn't always generate notifications for received grants by default. Check the notification settings in the recipient account to ensure they are configured to receive notifications for new data grants.

Delay:

Sometimes, there might be a delay in the propagation of data grants to recipient accounts. Wait for some time and then check again to see if the grant appears in the recipient's account.

By checking these points, you should be able to determine why the data grant is not appearing in the recipient account and take appropriate action to resolve the issue.
