Why don't I get en event with binlog information when I create a snapshot?

I want to take a snapshot of an RDS (MySQL) database in order to start a replication slave. According to https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/AuroraUserGuide/AuroraMySQL.Replication.MySQL.html, I first need to take a snapshot, which should then generate an event showing the binlog position. I have taken the snapshot, but there's no event anywhere - is there something else I need to do - activate something, change an option, ...?

Accepted Answer

The event will be emitted for the restored cluster not the source cluster.
Once you restore that you should see the event on the new instance.
