EC2 instance for Palo Alto VM-series not showing

0

I launched a new EC2 instance with Palo Alto VM-series (BYOL) Firewall and its been 15mins and I still don't see it in my Dashboard. Does this usually take time or the instance was never created? I received a bunch of emails like below: An offer has been accepted by 050612410569 on April, 18 2023 12:15 AM UTC. Please see the details below:

Seller Details Seller Name: Palo Alto Networks

Product Details Product Name: VM-Series Virtual Next-Generation Firewall (BYOL)

Do I need to wait for even more time or should I launch another instance? Could someone please help?

  • Can you go into Cloudformation and check the resources and/or output section of the cloudformation template launched by the AWS marketplace. This should give you an indication if the EC2 instance was properly deployed or not.

Is it possible you're looking at the EC2 console for the wrong region?

  • Thanks for answering! good point! But the region is right and no EC2 instance seen. Needed this ASAP and can't seem to understand why I have received all those emails if the EC2 instance was never created to start with. Any other thoughts or do you think it usually takes this time to successfully launch.

  • I haven't used the Marketplace a lot, but generally you subscribe to a product and then launch instances as a separate step (at which point you start paying). Did the emails you receive relate to the subscription process or to instance launching?
