Increase encrypted volume size

Hello! Can I increase a volume size if it is encrypted, without stopping it? I can do it on unencrypted volumes, and then extend the partition on the fly, but what if it is encrypted and in use?

Yes. Same process applies.

Hello

I tested a scenario in my account where a linux host had a 1GB gp2 volume encrypted using EBS KMS key mounted at a mount point. I first expanded the volume through console and then extended filesystem using xfs_growfs utility while the volume was mounted. I was running a small bash script that was adding a line to a text file.

As always please try out it in a sandbox with your exact setup by using a test volume with your instance/os before doing it on the main production server.
