Amazon Route 53 is a scalable and highly available Domain Name System (DNS) web service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Your file needs to be uploaded to S3 where you host your site.
- Navigate to S3 Service: In the AWS Management Console, navigate to the S3 service. You can find it under “Storage” in the “Services” menu.
- Select Your Bucket: Find and click on the name of the bucket where you want to upload your sitemap.xml.
- Click the “Upload” button.
- In the upload window, you can either drag and drop your sitemap.xml file or click “Add files” to browse and select the file from your computer.
- After adding the file, click the “Upload” button in the bottom left corner of the window.

Thanks @Jesus_Castellanos But under S3 buckets I do not see my website, only under Route 53
What you see in Route 53 is a DNS record pointing to your website location. Your website can be in an EC2, S3 , Lightsail or resolving to an IP somewhere else. Check the record created under your Route 53 hosted zone for your website address and find what is the value in "Value/Route traffic to" field.
