AWS SES Advisor

0

Hi,

I've started seeing quite a few entries in the Virtual Deliverability Manager "advisor" tab, and started reading through them. Apart from the BIMI records, which I have actually not set, I see that basically every single identity has some report saying something along the lines of "Missing SPF record", or "Missing DMARC" or "Misaligned MAIL FROM". The problem with these is that it's actually false statements.

Because all of these records are exactly created as AWS SES wanted me to create, with the exact values it provided, and all of the records do also work I've verified manually.

So, why is the Advisor not seeing these changes and updating accordingly? Any idea?

  • I also have this issue... SPF records exist and are correct, MAIL FROM is set up OK and shows "Successful", but still Advisor reports that SPF records are not found? Did you find a solution?

You can use a we web tool such as this to verify it manually: https://mxtoolbox.com/dmarc.aspx

Name field should have _dmarc.yourdomain.com

Value field should have v=DMARC1;p=reject;rua=mailto:dmarcreports@yourdomain.com

Just replace the fields yourdomain.com with, well your domain.
