Server Maintenance

0

I received this email this morning:

One or more of your Amazon Lightsail instances is scheduled for maintenance in a 2 hour window starting on Fri, 11 Aug 2023 14:00:00 GMT. Maintenance activity will result in the following Lightsail instance(s) in the us-west-2 region to be unavailable and then rebooted:

My ask is, is there anything I can do to avoid this? This is 9am my time and is prime time for my business. Any help is appreciated!

Greetings, can you check the entire message to see if you see wording like "At any time before <DATE and TIME>, you can reschedule this maintenance or stop and start the instance through the AWS API, AWS CLI, or AWS Management Console. " ? You can reschedule the maintenance window or perform stop/start operation to move the instance to a new host before that.

You can stop\start the instance in another window you prefer before the scheduled window. Please refer to https://repost.aws/questions/QURJrmxf21TMqRI5qrkS0B8A/how-frequently-should-i-expect-scheduled-maintenance-for-amazon-lightsail-instances

  • How can I confirm that it migrated successfully, and that it will NOT migrate at 9am CST on the 11th of August?
