Cannot change configuration settings for lambda functions

0

Hi all,

When trying to change any of the configuration settings for a lambda function, we have run into an ambiguous error message:

You do not have sufficient permission. Access denied.

If we try to do this via aws CLI, the message reads:

An error occurred (AccessDeniedException) when calling the UpdateFunctionConfiguration operation: None

We have tested this across three different users, two of whom have AWSLambda_FullAccess policy and one has AdministratorAccess policy. My understanding is that each of these users should be able to take this action, based on these policies. Is there something else I'm missing?

It's worth mentioning that we have previously had no problems doing this. We recently had an incident where access and security keys for one user were compromised, and so I wonder if this is related to that - either the compromised keys were used to make some modifications that I can't find, or perhaps AWS took some action to prevent unauthorized changes.

Also, we haven't noticed any similar permission problems when using other AWS services.

Any help would be much appreciated.

This appeared to have been a problem on the AWS side. I took no action other than opening a service ticket. Several days later, the problem disappeared.
