Unable to select a compute type in SageMaker Studio Lab

0

I have recently started using Studio Lab for batch training a deep learning model. However, when I try to create a notebook job, I am unable to select a Compute type - the drop-down menu is just empty. If I try to create the job anyway, I get an error that says 'Unexpected error occurred during creation of job.' I am very new to using Studio Lab and I have not found any information about this problem/error message anywhere, so any guidance or help of any kind would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • Hi User, are you able to provide a screenshot of the error?

Hello,

Thank you for using AWS SageMaker. To better understand the issue and help you over come the issue, we would require a screenshot along with CloudWatch logs so that we can identify the root cause of the issue. I would not encourage you to share the logs over this medium, so I will ask you to create AWS Support case so that you can share the details with the engineers for better assistance.

Common issues that I believe could have happened are UI issue or browser issue. Before reaching out to AWS Support, please try the same procedure with different browser and also check if CloudWatch logs indicates about the error.

To open a support case with AWS using the link: https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/home?#/case/create

I want to follow up on this issue. When using scheduled notebooks in Studio Lab you must first connect to an AWS account. Assuming you did that, perhaps you should confirm that the credentials you used to connect to your AWS account are sufficient to access different EC2 types. Let me know.
