Hello,
Yes, you can use Load balancing capability to load balance across multiple Light sail instances without worrying about the above service terms.
The service terms for Light Sail is for the following:
- You cannot use Amazon Light sail to avoid paying data transfer or usage fees for other AWS services by routing traffic through it.
- You cannot use Light sail to proxy traffic from other AWS services to the internet to avoid data fees, such as bypassing EC2 data transfer costs.
- You cannot excessively process data through services like load balancing or CDNs on Light sail.

Thanks a lot :-) Do you mind elaborating more details about part 3 you listed above? I didn't manage to understand it. Does it mean one shouldn't use too much of Lightsail instances? Isn't that a per-region & per-account limit of Lightsail instance amount? There is also a CPU baseline limit & network bandwidth limit on each Lightsail. What does
excessively process datamean here?Hi Zentic,
The FAQ states 'workloads that involve a high number of requests per second or large amount of video streaming are not permitted'.
See the 'How is Lightsail CDN intended to be used?' section in https://aws.amazon.com/lightsail/faq/
Hope this helps.
@yensteveAWS Thank you so much for the very detailed reply :-D
