Black screen on trying to access Nice DCV server on Amazon Linux 2 ec2 instance from DCV Viewer MacOS client

I have tried accessing DCV server virtual session running on Amazon Linux 2 ec2 instance from my DCV client on MacOs but I always get a black screen after logging in. On trying to connect through the web-client, I am stuct at the Connecting screen after supplying my login credentials. Following the instructions on this https://docs.aws.amazon.com/dcv/latest/adminguide/setting-up-installing-linux-checks.html I am unable to get the appropriate results after running the commands like sudo DISPLAY=:0 XAUTHORITY=$(ps aux | grep "X.-auth" | grep -v grep | sed -n 's/.-auth ([^ ]+).*/\1/p') xhost | grep "LOCAL:$". Can anyone help me troubleshoot this or provide any alternatives to access a GUI?

You may have missed out one of the installation steps.

You can launch a AL2 image with NICE DCV from AWS Marketplace with or without CloudFormation template. Other options include aws-samples CloudFormation templates to provision your own EC2.
