Hi,

is the bucket in your account or is it in another account and you got permissions from bucket owner? In that case, the bucket won't show at all in the console.

Otherwise, if you see via CLI and not via console, it's due to the fact that you probably use a different id with CLI and with console. On the console, you see it top right of the screen. Via CLI, you can obtain it via CLI with sts get-caller-identity. Then, compare those 2 security principals and their authorizations.

Best,

Didier

If you're able to see your data in an S3 bucket using the CLI but not in the console, there are a few things you can check:

  1. Ensure you're logged into the correct AWS account and region in the console where your bucket is located.

  2. In the S3 console, navigate to your bucket and check if you have the necessary permissions to view the objects. Sometimes, bucket policies or IAM permissions might allow CLI access but restrict console access.

  3. If you're using an S3 access point to view the bucket contents, be aware that the console view always shows all objects in the bucket, but it may restrict the operations you can perform on those objects based on the access point's permissions.

  4. If you've recently uploaded data, there might be a slight delay before it appears in the console. Try refreshing the page after a short wait.

  5. Check if you have enabled any features like default encryption or object lock on your bucket, as these might affect how data is displayed or accessed.

  6. If you're still unable to see the data, you can try using the "Properties" tab in the S3 console to view various bucket properties and ensure everything is configured correctly.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact AWS support for further assistance, as there might be an underlying issue with your account or the S3 console.
