Hi,
It sounds like you're having trouble connecting calls to Nepal and Greece using Amazon Connect. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:
Quick Fixes:
-
Check Service Availability: Ensure that Amazon Connect supports outbound calling to these specific regions. Not all regions may be supported depending on your account settings and the telecom regulations in those countries.
-
Verify Dial Plan: Double-check the dial plan you are using for these regions. Ensure that you are using the correct international dialing format and that there are no restrictions or blocks on the numbers you're trying to call.
-
Telecom Restrictions: Some countries may have telecom restrictions that can prevent calls from being connected. Verify if there are any known issues or restrictions for calling these regions.

Greece and Nepal by default is not allowed to be called.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/connect/latest/adminguide/country-code-allow-list.html#country-allow-list-us-canada-govcloud
You will need to open a support case to request these countries so you can dial them from your Amazon Connect region.
Checking the telephony coverage guide, https://d1v2gagwb6hfe1.cloudfront.net/Amazon_Connect_Telecoms_Coverage.pdf You are allowed to dial these two countries as international calls so your request should go through
Hi,
Thanks for the response.
I have US numbers of DID type and I already asked Amazon connect to whitelist Greece and Nepal region for calling.
The issue i am facing is when I call Greece number, I am getting recorded conversation played like "I hate small talk. Like even at church or when it was family and when you should just be in your own self." whenever I call the number.
What may be the issue and how can i resolve it.
Thanks
try grabbing a couple more DID and see if it is doing the same thing. If so, open a support ticket right away. The support team will need to trace a lot of things to identify what this problem is, I have not seen this myself

To be more specific..From US instance (Oregon) with US numbers I am trying to call Nepal and Greece. And both countries are in allowlist.
Try to use different caller id (like using your US DID as the caller id [NOT TFN], assign it to your queue, and use the queue as your default outbound queue) to make the call
