Get-instance-access for Linux gamelift instance timed out

0

I cant seem to get access to my linux gamelift instance, when I call gamelift get-instance-access from aws CLI using fleetid and instance id, i am getting timed out. This is a different experience when i do this in a windows gamelist instance.

error is An error occurred (InternalServiceException) when calling the GetInstanceAccess operation (reached max retries: 2): Timeout waiting for reply

Why? This is a freshly created instance, deployed a build, created a fleet, and nothing special done. following tutorials and documentations on how to access an instance fleet, everything is correct and followed on the dot, but cannot get the instance access in CLI because of the timing issue i described above.. This is getting frustrating

  • Anyone? is this really how bad the support for gamelift is? its too bad that we have already integrated gamelift and we are already in the tail end of our project, if we have known the support is this bad, we couldve not used gamelift

    definitely not recommended.

  • Hi, we are currently investigating the issue. If you need prompt response in the future, please reach out to AWS support via AWS Support Center

  • One common cause of GetInstanceAccess failures is from the gamelift instance having no space left on disk. In order to investigate your issue specifically, you'll need to reach out to AWS support via AWS Support Center.
