Global Accelerator and BYOIP

0

If I want to use BYOIP and I have a /24, can I use that /24 for provisioning elastic IPs and also for Global Accelerator? Or do I need a seperate /24 for each of those services? It is unclear, other than the documentation that shows Global Accelerator example using a /24.

Thanks for reaching out about this. Currently you can't use the same /24 IP address range for both regional elastic IPs and Global Accelerator static IPs, as the first are announced from a specific AWS Region while the latter are announced via BGP from AWS edge locations around the world. We'll make it more clear in the documentation https://docs.aws.amazon.com/global-accelerator/latest/dg/using-byoip.html

Hi, I have a setup a NLB with an Elastic IP (x.x.x.x) which is currently whitelisted by my customer. Now I would like to create a Global Accelerator whit an ELB behind and I was hoping I could attach that NLB's Elastic IP (x.x.x.x) to the Global Accelerator as one of the static IPs. Looking forward to hearing from you.
