Outlook Android unable to login to WorkMail

Question

I cannot get the Outlook app for Andriod setup with WorkMail. I have the Outlook client on Windows setup but with the exact same configuration: email address is correct, server is outlook.mail.us-east-1.awsapps.com (I know I am on the us-east-1 server), Domain\Username is the full email address, Password is the correct password.  
  
The Android Outlook app gives me  the message:  
  
**Unable to Login**  
The service is currently unavailable. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact customer service (503)

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing problems with configuring Outlook for Android on your device. The url you're trying to use is for the Windows Outlook client only. For Active sync clients please use the following url: "mobile.mail.us-east-1.awsapps.com" (From: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workmail/latest/userguide/mobile-client.html)
