It seems like your ID might need API gateway as a trusted entity. Please try these steps
- Open the IAM console.
- On the navigation pane, choose Roles.
- Choose Create role.
- In the Select type of trusted entity section, choose AWS service.
- In the Choose a use case section, choose API Gateway.
- In the Select your use case section, choose API Gateway.
- Choose Next: Permissions. Just Click Next
- Add tags (optional), and then choose Next: Review.
- For Role name, enter a name for your policy. For example: api-gateway-rest-api
- Choose Create role
- Add role to your User ID.

What do you mean with "Add role to your User ID"? I have asked the administrator of my account and he attached the role to a Policy linked to my account, but the problem is still there
