How to consume EC2 Image shared using AWS RAM

0

Hi,

I want to share EC2 Image Builder AMI using AWS Resource Access Manager with AWS user outside organisation.

I have prepared EC2 Image Builder AMI on source AWS account. Created AWS RAM resource to share the same AMI. Also added AWS account ID of destination AWS Account as a Principal.

I accepted resource sharing invitation in destination AWS account. I could see Image recipe for the shared AMI and output resource pointing to source AMI.

When I click on AMI ID, it opens AMI section in EC2 console and says no "No matching image found". I expect the AMI to be available in the destination account, so that I can create new EC2 instance based on shared AMI using AWS RAM mechanism.

Not sure why I am not seeing shared AMI in destination AWS account. Though I see the shared resource in AWS RAM section. Can someone suggest how can I consume the shared EC2 Image using AWS RAM in destination account?

Thanks in advance.
