My lightsail instance is not opening a console

I tried to change the permissions to the root directory so that I can upload a file through filezilla and it did not work and did not assigned permissions. Now the issue is its may be blocked or I don't know what's the issue but I see this below message when I open the console. Your instance encountered an error and has closed the connection. Try again or contact customer support.

I would try restarting your instance. Depending on the change you made, you may need to create a new instance from snapshot or scratch if you have damaged the instance's ability to boot.
