AMI (Custom Image)

After uploading a custom iso file to S3 bucket, how do you create a custom image or upload your iso to AMI as a custom image? My goal is to launch an EC2 image using our iso.

You will need to create a virtual machine in VMware, Virtual box and build it from you iso. Once this is done, then you’ll need to create and upload your virtual machine such as a vmk/ova and import into AWS to create your AMI.

You can’t create an AMI or boot an ec2 from an ISO.
