Amazon MSK updating is incredibly long

I've just started Amazon MSK and created the cluster.

Since I had to change the cluster configurations, I did the cluster configuration updating. Now more than 4 hours passed, but the updating is still in progress. Why Amazon MSK updating is spending too long? Does anyone know the reason why? I'm getting feel I might have to use self-hosted Kafka cluster rather than managed Kafka cluster.
