Reserved Instances for AWS Local Zones

0

Are there any ways to create long-term commitment for EC2 instances running in local zones? If I look into RIs I won't get zonal RI offerings for local zones. But, assuming I don't want to reserve the capacity but get discount for my long-term commitment: Would regional RIs be applied to matching instances running in local zones? The documentation is unfortunately unclear for this.

Savings Plans (SP) are available in the local zone.

Similar to RI, SP can reduce costs through long-term commitments. SP are also recommended because of their greater flexibility.
