Website is down due to AWS Data Transfer reach 100 %

Hi , We deployed our Laravel application on aws using Laravel Forge. in my "Free tier tab" under Billing dashboard, it shows that "AWS Data Transfer" reach to 100 %. We are using ec2 in free tier. We have enough amount in credits as well provided by aws when we signed up here.

now the issue is my site is down from couple of days due to this issue. It should charge automatically from my credits I think , but Its not charging as well. And I don't know how i can fix this issue as I can't see any issued invoice there as well. Please let me know how we can fix this issue now.

According to my understandings , the way how AWS free tier and credits works is : it issued invoice at the end of every month and it automatically charge using that credits. Today as its 21 may so it will issue the invoice at 31 May and then will charge automatically from the credits at that time. and then with new month it will again restart the cycle with all the things AWS provides in their service LIKE 'AWS Data Transfer' it provides 100 GB per month, so I can imagine from 31May site will work normally as all things will work from scratch. But we have two issues here.

  1. how I can wait till 31 May, our users having a lot of issues at the moment
  2. If Data Transfer reach 100 % this month then it can reach next month as well.

NOW i need to confirm how I can charge to AWS using my credits for extra DATA Transfer its using right now so my site works normally, OR we have to move to paid plan rather than Free tier ?

Yesterday I restarted my server and site worked again, but within 24 hours it stops again, I again restarted my server so maybe site works when you check. But obviously the issue will come again as its not resolved yet on AWS side.

Second questions : As i already mentions I have like 1100 $ in my credits , and 350 $ specially for my AWS Developer support. But I am not able to use this credit for developer support . How I can talk to developer support if i need to by using my credits?

  • Hi prince Arora. Thanks for sharing this link, I check it but no luck, I compared all points with my credits status. I am been using Credits from 1st day and its been 4 months we deployed site on AWS. My credit have expiry till 2024. I am not using any organization as well its standalone account. this AWS Data Transfer service also exists under "Applied Products" table for my credit as well. So all points seems perfectly fulfilled. Anything else if you can share that can help. Thanks
