AWS Bedrock Not Usable

0

I Have been trying to use Bedrock services but I get error all the time I have set my policies and permissions perfectly, Opened Support request its been more than 15 days now but have not got any response.

What I want to know is If the Bedrock required backend edits from support team why are they not attending the tickets ??

I understand your frustration with not being able to use Amazon Bedrock and the delay in support response. While I don't have access to information about your specific support ticket status or internal AWS support processes, I can help address some common issues that might be preventing Bedrock access.

First, ensure you've requested model access in the Amazon Bedrock console. Even with correct IAM permissions, you need to explicitly request access to foundation models through the Bedrock console in your AWS region. This is a separate step from setting up IAM policies.

Second, verify that Amazon Bedrock is available in your AWS region, as it's not available in all regions. Also confirm that your IAM policies include the necessary Bedrock permissions (such as bedrock:InvokeModel).

Regarding support response times, these can vary based on your support plan level and the complexity of the issue. If you haven't received a response in 15 days and have a paid support plan, you may want to:

  • Check your support case in the AWS Support Center for any updates
  • Reply to your existing case to bump its priority
  • If you have a Business or Enterprise support plan, consider using phone support for more immediate assistance

Amazon Bedrock typically doesn't require backend edits from the support team for standard access - most access issues can be resolved through proper model access requests and IAM configuration. If there's a specific account-level issue, support would need to investigate your particular case.

  • Support is needed as I confirm all permission and other things are correct

Amazon Bedrock does NOT require backend/manual enablement by AWS Support in normal scenarios, If you cannot use Bedrock after 15+ days, it is almost certainly NOT due to support delay, but due to one of:

Region not supported Model access not enabled / EULA not accepted Marketplace permissions missing Org-level restriction (SCP / billing / compliance) Account-level eligibility issue (rare)

Btw, I would also follow the case with AWS support, may considering escalate by using current ticket.

  • I have already given bedrock full access and marketplace full access permissions via policy so no not problem in there it may be ORG level problem as you suggested
