My newly created ubuntu instance is accesible via public ipv4 dns but not through public ipv4. also cant connect to instance using ssh.

Hello, firstly I want to create WordPress server for that first I have used Bitnami Wordpress server instance. but couldn't access it via public ipv4 but can access it via public ipv4 dns. that via I tried restarted it nothing happened, changes security groups nothing happened. assigned elastic IP nothing happened. then nothing was working so I terminated that instance. then after that It tried launching ubuntu instance and do it manually but that to I couldn't access, same issue persist.

Did you check if one of security group attached your EC2 instance allows TCP port 22 to your IP or All Traffic.

Is your instance is deployed in public subnet, could you please make sure that the subnet has internet gateway attached to it's route table, otherwise resources inside that subnet can't reach to internet and hence that subnet is not public. Please double check the routes.

AWS Documentation covers almost all the possible causes, which could prevent accessing the instance.

  • Sorry for the trouble problem was with my modem which I am using for internet connection. I don't know how but it doesn't allow particular addresses to be connected. When I try to connect using IP it doesn't allow. Then I tried contacting using different ISP then it got connected and I can also access my site.
