To delete your old AWS Builder ID without affecting your AWS Training & Certification account, you should first ensure that all your certification information is properly linked to your new AWS Builder ID. Since you've confirmed that you can see all your current certifications when logging in with the new email address, your certification data appears to be properly associated with the new AWS Builder ID.
To delete your old AWS Builder ID:
- Sign in to your AWS Builder ID profile at https://profile.aws.amazon.com using the old email address (the one you want to delete).
- Navigate to "My AWS Builder ID data" section.
- Under "Deleting AWS Builder ID," select "Request your data."
- You'll receive a confirmation message that your request has been received and will be processed within 30 days.
- Once you receive an email confirming your request has been processed, return to the "Privacy & data" page of your AWS Builder ID profile.
- You'll see a new option to "Download ZIP archive with your data." You can download this for your records.
- After downloading your data, you can proceed with deleting the AWS Builder ID.
Note that you won't be able to delete your AWS Builder ID while your data request is pending. Also, be aware that using multiple AWS Builder IDs can sometimes make it difficult to track which ID you used for which purpose, so consolidating to a single ID is generally recommended.
If you encounter any issues with your AWS Training & Certification account after this process, you can contact AWS Training and Certification support for assistance.
